EXHIBITS

Built in 1982,the museum building was originally the private residence of Toru Kumon, before being converted into a museum in October 1998.The museum's prize exhibit is a selection of the original worksheets that Toru Kumon made by hand for his son Takeshi, which formed the basis for the Kumon worksheets in use today. We welcome visitors to tour the museum to learn about the essence of Kumon and take time to contemplate ideal education.

Toru Kumon’s Study

Toru Kumon would spend hours in this room after returning home from work, using the phone and fax to exchange information with Instructors about students. Upon entering this study, visitors can almost imagine Toru Kumon sitting here working to help as many students as possible develop their abilities with the Kumon Method.
